There are a number of picnic areas and stream access points along the valley highway.

The walls are 6 feet thick. They hold Easter sunrise services here each year in the old nave.
Spanish Mission Ruins
Almost all of the visible ruins are from the spanish mission buildings. The pueblo ruins are apparent because of various rubble mounds in the area.

This is currently flowing high with snow melt...usually it is lower and slower.
Cadillac Ranch - erected in 1974
They had to relocate this in the 1980s because Amarillo was growing and would encroach on it. Maybe you can tell...even some of the barbed wire is painted.
Wind Turbines
Some people think these are ugly intrusions on the landscape. They are really quite graceful looking and almost hypnotic to watch.
